Hi all,
I am working as an HR executive in an IT outsourcing company and want to know the use of Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma in the HR field. Is there any certified institute in Mumbai that provides training for Six Sigma? If anyone knows, please share the institute's name and contact number.

Dear Kale,
I have completed the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt courses. They have specific applications in HRM and can be aligned with other departments according to the organization's requirements and business objectives.
If needed, you can contact Mr. Ashish Gupta, an LSS Black Belt certified trainer, at 9702660029. He is located in Navi Mumbai. You can also reach him via email at contact@globalsolutionsindia.in and CC nidhiagupta@ymail.com. Please mention my name when reaching out to him.

I am a certified Six Sigma Champion from STQC. Indian Statistical Institute would be a good place; they are one of the apex colleges in India and cost-effective too. A couple of years back, the fee for Green Belt was 5k. By the way, the scope in HR is highly limited. People who say that there is scope are simply misleading.

Dear S V S Rana,
I wrote, there is a "specific usage" that means "usage is limited." Kindly avoid writing something negative, and no one is trying to mislead anyone in this forum. By the way, let me know, mislead whom? It's up to the LSS professionals to define its applicability and usage without limiting it to other domains. Regarding statistical usage, LSS can also be used in HRM.
For your kind information, there is no good or bad place for LSS training and certifications. It's all about the trainers who are capable of delivering the subject and learners to learn and make the best use of it. Hereafter, I hope you will avoid confusing members of this forum.

Dear Mr. Khadir,
I have attended more than 15 certifications in HR/Quality, ranging from ISO 9001, EMS 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001, COPC coordinator, Six Sigma Champion, IEC 17025, CE, to Certified Compensation and Benefits Manager, Certified Performance and Competence Developer, Certified Psychometric Testing Professional, and Certified Learning and Development Manager, among others.
I have 14 years of experience with leading brands like HCL, Zamil, and Cornel in the EMEA and APAC regions. I reaffirm that the scope of Six Sigma application by an HR professional is "limited."

Let me cite a few examples to clear your understanding:
1. CIISA - ISO 27001: It is composed of 127 control points. HR professionals can design better background checks, workplace surveillance, NDAs, etc.
2. OHSAS 18001: Occupational health is the bedrock of several important things like air quality, water quality, ergonomics, etc.
Nothing exists in isolation. The King Tiger tank, made by Germany in World War II, was so heavy and powerful that it was difficult to move around. Power steering was invented to help this tank move. Now, power steering is used in cars.
How many tanks had this technology before it was applied to cars?

Dear Mr. S V S RANA,
Congratulations on attending various certification courses. Although I have not attended these courses nor acquired these certifications, I do have a certain amount of information that I have learned through experience. I mean specific usage exactly as you mentioned in your post "LIMITED." So-called "LIMITED" usage can also be productive when utilized with specific objectives. It is up to HR professionals to understand LSS strategies and their importance, as well as to what extent they can make the best use of them. I strictly believe in creativity and innovation, and I do not blindly follow anyone.
Kindly feel free to share the knowledge you have gained, as I wish to learn more from you. I hope other members also wish to learn from you. By sharing your knowledge, you can add value to this forum.

Dear Khadir,
I just noticed that you are in Qatar. I was based with Zamil Group, and we have plants in Dammam, Ras Al Khaimah, and Cairo. Zamil used to give extra holidays in lieu of training, and they are really cheap in India.

Dear Mr. Surya Vrat Rana,
I didn't understand your statement ""Zamil used to give extra holidays in lieu of trainings and they are real cheap in India...". Would you mind adding more information to your statement?
Also, kindly let me know what made you compare extra holidays with trainings.
