Dear Mr. Dev
last three intervention u thinked for cost cutting i am not agreed from them because ur making some compromise with quality. While all other options are acceptable for this u have to display banners and slogans at ur place which introbuces some change in behaviour of ppl working.
Thanks

Dear Mahendra
Let me share the thoughts of One of the Director's of my earlier company. He says cost cutting does not mean that cutting down the salaries of Office boys / admin assistants and doing silly things
He says Cost cutting initiative should start from the top level reducing the no. of air travels, encouraging Video Conferences, Allowances like providing Cars to Director's and their maintenance and other activities which incur much expenditure
The initiatives you have given would help the cause in a manner, but look at the costs at top level
Invite thoughts from other members too

I agree with Mr Kumar as i also feel that if one air travel is avoided one office boy can be paid for a month.Simillarly regular maintainence of machineries will reduce cost of replacement of parts.

cost cutting can be done by several methods. As i am in a broking house:-
1- use one monitor only by RM's ,like 1 P>C for 4 people tto update the portfolio.
2 - Switch off the system when not in use.
3 - divide the zone and one people for one zone so that conveyance is saved.
4- Keep the branches on chat to reduce the STD call.
5- Use both side of paper to reduce stationary cost.

Hi Dev
What Mr.Vinod Bidwaik told is absolutely right,Just the above things won't solve your problem, Try to convey the sign boards for some days and later on just put an 1/2 an hour or 1 hour extra work every day. So that you can give your all the above things and raise the production.
If not, cut short, the out sourced jobs and distribute the same job on 2 to 3 three associates so that in this manner also you can reduce the cost.
Hope so it may help you.

Dear Mr.Mahendrabhani,
The major cost reduction in an organization comes "when things are done right first time, every time". The consequences of not doing so, costs an organization dearly. This is the "Cost Of Poor Quality ("COPQ").
Pl see attachment.
Besides the areas which are covered in this thread, you must seriously consider reducing COPQ.
I have introduced this system in a few organizations and their savings are considerable.
