[DEAR SIRS, A MISCONCEPTION IS MAKING ROUNDS IN THE CORPORATE CIRCLES: THAT A FEMALE SOFT SKILLS TRAINER IS BETTER THAN THE MALE COUNTERPART DO YOU AGREE? IF YES WHY IF NO WHY CHANDORKAR

As the female managing director of a very successful worldwide training company that employs both male and female associates I find your comments offensive, and quite limiting!
Studies indicate that successful organisations focus on diversity as a means of increasing competitiveness. Female employees represent an increasing percentage of the workplace at all levels.
Female consultants model effective skills in confronting female-biased limiting behaviours such as those evident in your post . The inclusion of female consultants teams can help to balance interpersonal support for personal growth and developing communication styles which offer greater flexibility and effectiveness to both the organisation and individual development
My organisation continues to be successful through professional behaviours and the ability to provide sustainable solutions to organisational issues and NOT its focus on providing supervisors with refreshment!

In a world like ours today there is no differenciation of male & female when it comes to training.
maybe there is a hint of glamour that people attach to it but even men can be glamourous.
Dont now why Postman10 sounds so bitter & would like to believe not without a cause.
Views may vary but I sincerely feel that it is finally the effectiveness of the training that atters at the end of the session to all trainees who are serious about it.
When one pays so much for a training session,I'm sure they will also look for value.
One who can put forth views & points effectively will be successful & there are examples of the same.

Hi! All,
I find no diference in both the cases. Let it be M/F, end of the day performance matters.
For that sake when we were in our school days we had both male and female lectures. Of which the maximum times our favarouite lecturer would be any female teacher.
Now if we talk about Training- it is an challenging role all togethere. So it does n't mean that only male can be a good trainer.
Let me remember you the book by John Grey- MEN FRON MARS NAD WOMEN FROM VENUS. this would give every body a clear picture of efficiency of both the sexes.
We really understand postman10- you may be really frustated by the sort of competiton you have faced in your professional career. Any way this is a contraversial sutiation where we can n't say females are not a good fit for Training.
Any way this is really a good topic to post on.......
Thankx and keep posting.

Being a woman and a trainer, I find your comments extremely offensive. I think you need to be trained on being a better human being before being anything else. I am sorry to say but I think you come from a Godforbidden place where people still think that that's what women can do.
You need to re-check your info. Any one can be a good soft skills trainer if knows the subject and can interact with the audience. But if you are a trainer or an HR person, I feel sorry for your colleagues, students, seniors and specially the women working with you. I also feel sorry for your wife & daughter (if you have one)

Hey, this is interesting!!! Postman 10/Mr Chandorkar has just thrown a Herring in this forum. If we read his question a bit carefully, he says it is a misconception that is making rounds. I dont see anywhere that he agrees with it. He has just asked the views of the environment and what have we all done. Pounced on his Herring like no one's business and torn him to pieces. Please folks, dont you think that we need to be a bit more mature and post our views in a more controlled fashion instead of going for the jugular.
I agree that this is a very wrong question to ask, specially in today's world with everyone so aware of the gender biases and womens lib and all. A politically correct reply would be either complete ignorance to the question or a controlled reply that in today's world, with the likes of Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams, there is absolutely no field where men are in any way better than women or vice versa. One could also try some sarcasm.
Relax guys and gals, take it easy.
