Hi to all
I am doing my MBA project in welknown IT company in Mumbai. I have to design new induction programme for new employees. Kindly suggest me new ideas to prepare induction programme. I have to change the existing one. Please suggest me new ideas. If possible plz do send me the copy of induction programme you have. Looking forward to your reply. I will be very glad if you could help me in my project.

Your Induction programme should include the entire overview of ur company with the various projects & their desciption, the processes followed by the company and also the various policies. Also, some senior from ur location should meet up with the joinees and have an informal chat with them and give them breifings abt the project they are joining as well.

1. site/office tour is a must.
2. Brief overview of company ( history, values and brand value)
3. introduction to the key stakeholders ( In person, a pre video recorded talk)
4. introducing the who is who in the company
5. companys do's & Don't
6. overview of policies - HR & General
7. Quiz to see if new joinees remember anything.
8. Plan for the next few days for new joinees :lol:

i dont know much bout ur org. so . i cnt say wht 2 do & not to do.. what i can suggest plz introduce buddy system in ur induction prog. n if possible plz develop a measurement system to chk te effectiveness of induction prog.

The Induction program shld be made as interesting as possible. This time of every new employee should be memorable. It is the first contact of an employee with an organization. Apart from making him / her familiar with the existing department's activities, try including some Role plays & case studies on team work and corporate etiquettes. You can also include educational / inspirational movies. You can keep choclates and candies available and reward them after every little activity. Across all levels people enjoy these things.
