This rule is followed by our company also. They normally give 20% but to others who left give 8.33 %.

IF any employee joined as trainee he will not eligible for bonus. IF employee joined as probation then he will be eligible for the bonus period. But the employee should work 30 days for the particular bonus period.

Dear All,
As per the Payment of Bonus Act, every employee who completed 30 days of working in a year is eligible to get bonus for that year.
1. here employee means any person who draws hi gross wages 10,000 or less than that is covers under Bonus Act.
2. but for the purpose of calculation part the salary threshold limit is 3500, only
3. employee can get his/her minimum or max bonus on the amount of salary on 3500 only even he/she draws more than 3500
4. bonus may paid based this formula ( actual salary/3500* min bouns 8.33% or Max 20%* no of month worked in a year

Will the bonus is applicable even to the construction field?. i am working as hr in the construction field one of our labour is claiming bonus where he has worked for one year. Since he is local labour he is threating us that he would make complaint to the labour commissioner. My queries being the construction field is it possilbe to pay bonus where our work is not stable. I request you all to enlighten me.

One small query,if a person join 15 of march 2011,he will not be eligible for 2010-11 bonus, as he is not completing 30 days in that bonus period. If he works for full year in next yr while disbursing next yr bonus this 15 day bonus will be added?
