Considerations for Drafting a Dress Code Policy
Before drafting a dress code, first check with your management whether they intend to provide any subsidy. Generally, if a dress code is required for workers, they may ask for uniforms from the management. The dress code should be decided upon taking into consideration the safety and security needs of the company. Those working near running machinery should not wear loose-fitting or tight clothes. Half-sleeve formal shirts, tucked pants, and closed-toe shoes are preferable. For higher-level executives, variations in color and full-sleeve shirts can be considered. For women, churidars or sarees are preferable.
All the best.
