Will Your Office Remain Closed On 5th July 2010

Bharat Bandh on July 5 called by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against price rise and announced for a 24-hour nationwide shutdown (Bharat Bandh). "In order to protest against this unjustified hike in petroleum prices and the total ineptitude of UPA Government to address this problem, BJP President Nitin Gadkari has given a call for a Bharat Bandh on 5th July,"

Meanwhile, a 12-hour nationwide 'hartal' (general strike) on the same day (July 5) has been called by the Left and other Opposition parties against the recent fuel price hike.

The four Left parties - Communist Party of India, CPI (Marxist), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) and Forward Bloc - have given the call for the strike.

Besides, the AIADMK, Telegu desam Party (TDP), Samajwadi Party, Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Janata Dal (Socialist) and INLD have also supported the strike call.

Note: In view of the above Common life of people will be disturbed & it is not safe for the stafe for the employees to come out of their home and risk themselves,therefore it is necessary to keep the company closed on 05th July 2010.

We work on all days, bcoz ours is a customer care department. our office located in Madurai. Tamilnadu..

yes we decided to close on 5th and work some other day to compensate the loss of working hours

On request of employees we are keeping open on Sunday and closing on monday ,

We are based out of Thane, Maharashtra and we are closed on Monday. We will be wrkg on one of our weekly off in lieu of the same.

We are based in Andheri E in Mumbai and we will be open on 5th July 2010
Our Other base is in Chennai, Pune, Delhi, Guwahati , Allahabad, and Chandigarh.
We are closed only on national Holidays and sundays , and we do not support any bandh etc .

I work in Hospital MCGM at Mumbai. Since we fall into essential services, we are open. Only ways of travel should be running.

No office declares holiday is this kind of scenario. I depends on the individual employee. If you can come you are in office or else it goes as a Casual Leave (provided you have available CL in your account) or else it goes as LWP. Office is always open. The same applies to All India, including Kolkata.
