There is no provision for CL & SL in the Factories Act. However, there should be 01 PL/EL for every 20 worked days (Physically Present Day. A half day will be deemed as 01 day for the computation of Physical Present Days).

Please go through Chapter VIII on leave with wages under the Factories Act, 1948 and be informed that CL and SL are provided under the State Industrial Establishment (National and Festival Holidays and Casual and Sick Leaves) Act.

Dear Venkat, As indicated by Mr. Prashant, there is no Provision for CL & SL in the both Shop and Establishment & Factories. There is only earn leave concept. Regards Selvakumar
