Hi, I'm selected with IT company in Bangalore and they are also checking/verifying credit history before my joining but my Cibil score is showing 680 at this time because a few months ago I skipped to pay credit cards bills and due to this my CIBIL reduced to 680, Is this good score or any problem in joining? Today I have paid all credit card bills and everything is cleared, credit card utilization is zero now but as I know it will take few months to reflect in Cibil's score. Please suggest.

I think the question here pertains to the "USE" of CIBIL score in recruitment. It is not always correct to dismiss a question just because it doesn't fall in your ambit - in fact by answering (first) so dismissively you halt any discussion that can be had on a topic.
To answer the question the fact that you are worried about your CIBIL score puts you in a category of a person who is at least trying to be more financially careful. However, if it is really worrying you - you should just reach out to the company and address the issue yourself. Perhaps even tell them about the missed payment and show proof of payments made. Such behaviour will only strengthen the show of good character.
About the use of CIBIL score in recruitment - I think it makes a lot of sense as it is a verified source of information about the candidate's financial habits.
- Please remain friendly and kind (focus on adding value/resources/references rather than speculations or judgement)

I do not know why an IT company will check CIBIL Scores of a person applying for a job. So are you sure that is the case?
Secondly, other than the person himself, only banks and financial institutions are allowed to check credit scores of any person. Have you given the credit report or are they doing this on their own?
While i do not know what is the benchmark that is used in your new company, i was under the impression CIBIL was instructed not to mark defaulters for cards and loans during the Covid Moritarium period. So are you sure your score dropped on account of that?
