New employee joined a salary of 17000. Can we show Basic + DA = 15001 and HRA = 1999, total = 17000 as breakup. Is such a breakup of salary allowed?
The employee is a fresher and since he is above the PF bracket, the firm decided to just give him ESI. Is everything correct or should there be any amendments?

It is okay as it complies with the ratio of apportionment of basic component in the wage structure as per the definition of wages u/s 2 (y) of the Code on Wages,2019 likely to be effective from April 01,2021.

Below breakup is consider ?? Basic+da. + hra+ other benefits = 21005.(gross) So employee covered in esic or only we deduct pf , pt ? Rather then pf, pt, esic.

You can not deduct EIS for anyone whose salary is above ₹ 21,000
