Dear sir, Minimum how many holidays we need to provide to employees as per the state government of Tamil Nadu.

As per the Tamilnadu Industrial Establishments (National and Festival Holidays) Act, 1958, every employer has to grant 4 National holidays and 5 festival holidays every year to the employees employed in his industrial establishment.
The 5 festivals for which holidays to be granted have to be got approved by the inspector under the Act. This is a one time exercise only unless they are modified.
Based on the approved holidays, the employer has to submit the list of such national and festival holidays pertaining to every calendar year before its commencement i.e before the 31st December of the previous year.
These 4+5 holidays are the minimum only. If the employer desires, he can grant more no of festival holidays.
