Hi, this is Charu Singh from the HR department. I have recently joined a company where company policies need to be prepared regarding conveyance and the conduct of misbehavior. If possible, kindly provide me with the formats to assist with this as soon as possible. I need to include details similar to a warning letter that should be issued to an employee according to the policy, the limits within which an employee can make mistakes, and what the final warning should be as per the policy.

Dear Charu,
What is the total employee count in your company? If it exceeds 100, then you may hire a labor consultant and get Industrial Standing Orders approved by the labor department. More than policy, standing orders approved by the government authorities are far more valid, and any action taken under the provisions of the standing orders is always valid in court as well. The standing orders provide definitions of various misconducts and further detailed procedures on how to handle indiscipline.
Regarding the policy on conveyance, you need to design it on your own. This is because conveyance policy will differ from one company to another, and we, as outsiders, cannot define the policy. At best, you may upload the draft, and someone senior like me will review and correct it.
Thanks,

Dear colleague,
Since the Employment Standing Orders Act may not be applicable to your establishment (please verify this), as you employ fewer than 100 employees, you may frame and circulate Service Rules based on the Model Standing Orders. These rules will serve as the basis for handling cases of misconduct.
Regarding Conveyance Allowance, you should create your own rules, considering the practices in other comparable companies in the region as well as income tax laws.
