I am working in a Pvt. Ltd. company as an HR Executive. At the time of my joining, there were 14 employees, and we registered our company for PF contributions under a Voluntary basis. Now, due to expansion, we have exceeded that number, and currently, we have 22 employees from 1/6/2018 onwards. I would like to know whether we need to register our company again or submit any forms stating the details of employees to the PF office. When proceeding with ECR payment, there is a difference in the amount between the automated calculation on the PF portal and the manual calculation done by me. I have cross-checked everything thoroughly but could not find the reason for the discrepancy.

Dear Friend,
Regarding the difference in the ECR generated amount and the amount calculated by you manually, you are making a mistake somewhere either in your manual calculation or in creating the ECR text file. You only have to find out where you are going wrong.
Regarding your registration under voluntary coverage, I feel there is no need to inform the department when crossing the employee strength of 19, or if there is any provision in the Act in this regard.
