I am working with a startup company registered under the Companies Act 2013. We are in the process of developing policies for our company. I would like to understand the necessary policies and regulations to create a comprehensive leave policy, including the types of leave available and the statutory rules that must be adhered to regarding employee absences.

Leave rules policy could be made, which is mostly based on your company is covered by 'Shops and Establishment Act' or 'The Factories Act '

Hi, If your company is covered under Shops and Establishment Act of your State, then please follow leave rules as stipulated by Shops and Establishment Act.

The start-up company in Delhi - if it is an office, it will be covered under the Shops and Establishment Act of Delhi. Please implement the leave rule as per the Delhi S&E Act.

If it is a factory, it will be governed by the Factories Act.

If there are certified Standing Orders, there may be some provisions for the leave rule.
