Hi, I need to submit the closure of esic registration. Can anyone provide me the covering letter for the closure format. Regards, vinoth hr assistant

1. Sir, I understand that there is no standard format of letter vide which you can request ESIC to permanently close the Code Number already allotted. Every establishment has separate facts and accordingly any employer who has closed his unit permanently can write to appropriate office of Regional/Sub-Regional Office of ESIC a letter detailing therein the facts of permanent closure etc. The code number, however, cannot be closed in case there is sale of unit to another party and in such situation, I think, old code number will continue in case facts etc. are similar.
2. However, as a matter of proof of permanent closure, the said department will demand proof of permanent closure viz. de-registeration from authorities under Company's Act, copy of dissolution deed of partnership etc. ,permanent disconnection of electricity connection, documents showing sale of machinery etc. etc.
3. It is further submitted that the said department will not permanently close the code number until and unless all the dues are cleared and upto date inspection of records is conducted by the authorities of said department.
