Dear Sir,

I have been working in Dubai for 4 years. Unfortunately, my company has not been able to pay my salary for the past 10 months, and they have also not initiated the process to cancel my visa. As a result, I have made the decision to return to India. I am seeking guidance on whether I can cancel my visa from India independently, especially considering that the company is expected to close this year. Additionally, I would appreciate advice on how I can recover my unpaid salary.

Thank you for your assistance.

I am basically confused about your statements, so I will answer the best I can. My questions are: How can you get your salary if you are in India? How did you leave Dubai, and how were you allowed to leave when you're still working with them?

Anyway, I see two questions here:

1. For the Visa: Normally, visas have their expiration dates, as I understand. Visas do not need to be canceled, I suppose, and they will just expire on their own.

2. For your salary: Communicate with your company's HR about your salary. Only your HR can answer how you can get your salary. Just ensure that all out-processing is done properly and that you get your employment certificate.

Visa is not required to be cancelled; it lapses on its own.

Since Indian laws do not apply, you will have to check the details in Dubai laws on payment of salary and the government authorities in this regard.
