Recently, I changed my job profession to another company. My PF account transferred to this company from the old one. What are the procedures? Is it necessary to receive the previous company's resignation acceptance letter from them? Otherwise, will they hold up my PF amount, not allowing me to withdraw or transfer it to my current job? What do I have to do?

Hi Mr. Manjunatha,

Please provide your UAN to the new employer; that's enough. Your previous employer cannot hold your PF amount because EPF and EPS are maintained by the Employee Provident Fund Organization.

In addition, your new organization HR should ask you to fill Form 13 PF Transfer Claim Form. Your PF transfer process shall take 90 Days.

Hi S K Manjunatha,

Kindly obtain your previous company's PF Account Number along with the UAN numbers. Once you have this information, you can log in to your UAN member portal and add your previous employment details to the portal. Within the portal, you can fill out Form 13 and transfer your old PF Account numbers to your current EPF Account Numbers.

The required details for transferring the claim through the online member portal are as follows:
1. Employee Name (As per ECR or as provided to the PF Office)
2. Date of Joining (EPF & EPS)
3. Date of Exit (EPF & EPS)
4. UAN Number must be Activated
5. Bank Account Number details
6. Current Company EPF Account Numbers

These are the details you need in order to transfer your old PF account to the new PF account. Only after this, both your previous and present employers can approve your request.
