Dear all,
I have started a call center in Hyderabad, and my ISP provider informed me that to run the company, I need the OSP license from the government. Could any of you help me with how I can get the OSP license legally to run my organization? Kindly let me know; your answers will help me run the organization successfully.
Thanks,
Syed

Dear Syed ji,
OSP stands for Other Service Provider. According to the New Telecom Policy of 1999, it is now mandatory to obtain OSP registration from the Telecom Enforcement, Resource, and Monitoring (TERM) Cells, Department of Telecommunications for OSPs offering services like tele-banking, tele-medicine, tele-trading, e-commerce, etc. These OSPs are permitted to operate using the infrastructure provided by various access providers for non-telecom services.
Access Service Providers must ensure that their customers possess valid registration documents from the OSP Cell of the Department of Telecommunications before granting them access to telecom resources. Hence, your ISP provider is requesting an OSP license from you.
To acquire this license/registration, you need to contact someone who handles this locally. Alternatively, you can complete the registration online at http://dotosp.gov.in/login/register....Name=showFormA.
