Respected seniors,

I completed my MBA in Personnel Management in 2012. Upon starting my career, I sought an HR position in a company, but I did not secure a job in a company. Instead, I joined a placement firm. However, after 5 months, I decided to leave the job as I did not wish to continue working in a placement firm.

As an MBA graduate specializing in HR, I aspire to work in an HR Generalist role. However, my challenge lies in my experience being primarily in recruitment, with theoretical knowledge and limited practical experience in areas like PF and ESI.

For the past 3 months, I have been actively seeking a job in a company. I have attended numerous HR interviews across different sectors, but I have not been successful in securing a job.

Currently, I am feeling confused about the next steps to take. Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Well, if you want to work as an HR generalist but you specialized in recruitment, it's better to pursue certification or short-term courses for other HR processes. Consider taking SAP in the HR module, which you can do alongside your job as an HR professional. Once you complete these certifications and gain specialization in other HR processes, you can register with job portals and be active on professional networks like LinkedIn. Sooner or later, this effort will surely help you in securing your desired job as an HR generalist in a company.

Hi Team,

Can you please suggest which specific module in SAP to be chosen and also any suggestions on institutes that offer courses in Bangalore?

I am from a BPO background and have 6 months of experience in HR (Voice process). I am looking to transition from BPO to HR.

Hope to receive responses.
