Hi all,

Could you please let me know if the ESI card is valid after leaving the organization and if it will remain valid after not contributing to the ESI scheme? For example, if someone is earning 14.5k and after an increment, they will be getting 18k, then their contribution towards ESI will be zero. In this scenario, will they still be able to avail ESI card benefits or not?

The benefit is based on the contribution period like:

Contribution Period Cash Benefit Period
1st April to 30th Sept. 1st January of the following year to 30th June.
1st Oct. to 31st March 1st July to 31st December of the year following
