12th - 63 %
Year gap of one year after 12th for engineering entrance exams preparation. But still got admission into an average rated college after securing a state rank of 2000.
BTECH - 6.1/10 till (5th sem)
There is a reason for low marks in BTECH. Had an accident, broke leg bone and had to undergo 4 surgeries in 2 years.
so how should I answer questions like - 1. Why year gap ? 2.Why less marks in 12th inspite of scoring well in 10th ? 3. Why less marks in BTECH ? 4.Why should we select you ?

Hello Abhibavv,
Further to what Simhan mentioned, suggest also give the reasons 'why' you preferred to go for Engineering line.
Though it's too early to come to any conclusion, prima facie, it seems Engineering COULD be a mismatch to your overall mental & academic attributes.
All the Best.

I didn't attend any interview recently. But I will have to after a week.
Yes I do have genuine reasons. I didn't study sincerely during my class 12th days. Took a year gap to prepare for entrance exams, got better rank though. My state rank was 2000, leaving other 58000 students of my state behind me. But the rank wasn't very good.
I met with an accident while I was in 3rd semester and broke 2 leg bones completely. It took almost 2 years and 4 surgeries to attain 100 percent healing having faced many complications and disturbing times. Somehow I managed to pass in my subjects having not attended most of the lectures.
I had actually lost interest in civil engineering seeing my physical condition. Sometimes I used to feel frustrated also seeing my pals enjoying when I used to use crutches to move.
But just 2 months ago my doctor gave me green signal to stand and walk like normal people. Infosys is coming to our college next week and I'm eligible to appear the exam.
So how should I justify my year gap and lesser marks ? What should I tell ? I have shown good performance in mock tests scoring more than almost 90 percent of my classmates and expecting to clear Infosys written exam.
