ANNUAL PERFORMANCE RATING

Hello sir, I am working in an MNC company in the TELECOM INDUSTRY. Before the declaration of the result, my REPORTING MANAGER (APPRAISER) has sent a written email to me stating that he has given me a good rating. However, when the actual result was released, I was informed that an improvement is required in my rating. Can I argue with my HR manager (REVIEWER) regarding why my rating was changed? Can I challenge my rating with the email sent by my manager? My manager is claiming that he has not made any changes.

Dear Rinku,

I am not conversant with SAP procedures. A good rating does not preclude the need for improvement in certain areas. For example, a lecturer has a number of KRAs. KRA Form Lecturer. He or she may be good in some areas (such as research) and not as proficient in others (like accessibility for consultation). Overall performance could be good but might need improvement in certain areas.
