Dear Seniors,

Can anyone confirm for me how to determine if an employee turnover ratio is satisfactory, good, or very serious after calculating it? Please clarify the criteria used to categorize the turnover ratio.

In our organization, we calculate the ratio as follows: Number of employees who left / Total number of employees * 100. Please review the attached file with the calculations and confirm if they are correct or suggest an alternative method.

Dear All,

I work for the largest ready-made garment manufacturer in Andhra Pradesh. As per the Export Buyer/Audit Compliance requirements, the company should have the Standing Orders in the local language as well. In Andhra Pradesh, the local language is Telugu.

Could someone please send me a soft copy of the Telugu standing orders?

Dear Mr. Dhinesh,

Increasing or decreasing the number of workers is a very sensitive subject. Any such attempt should only be made after a thorough study of the company's operations and its future plans. Just as increasing the workforce can lead to a significant decline in your bottom line profitability. It is crucial to determine the optimal level of productive workers based on a comprehensive work study and the current order book position. Disrupting this balance can result in a substantial decrease in productivity.

You have not provided all the necessary information about the current situation or future plans. Any increase in the workforce should aim at enhancing productivity and production. If you believe that your production line is understaffed, it is essential to identify the specific areas facing a shortage and address them accordingly.

Best regards,

Kumar S.
