Thank you, AVS. This is my small effort to spread awareness of creativity and innovation. Actually, there is a lot of buzz about it in India, but hardly any initiatives taken by Indian companies. Many companies are not aware of the innovation process. Many link innovation to the R&D group only. However, in a P&G CEO's interview with Oxford Press, he clearly mentions, "we use innovation practices in everything we do," and that's true. You can bring innovation in services, operations, products, policies, any task, or solution to any problem. Just stop looking at your workforce as task-completing machines and provide them the wings of "creativity and innovation"; together they will take the company to new heights. How? Because it has happened in Western countries, so why not in India.
I would like to mention a good quote on it: "Why are people scared of new ideas? I am scared of old ones."
Here's the 1-minute speech of Xerox CEO during employee orientation. From the video, you can judge in what period they have given strong importance to "creativity and innovation." That's the reason they are on the list of the world's top companies.
