Answer is very simple 1. Speak about your strengths 2. Speak about your education and experience 3. Speak about how well you fit the role for which you are being interviewed. Best Regards, Uday

You can also explain what value you will bring to the company if they hire you, assuming you have done your research on the company and the role.

My recommendation is to study well about the company that you are going for an interview. Also, understand the job profile and prepare yourself on how you think you could contribute to the company and the position to make a difference. Nowadays, there are many candidates available for a vacancy, so you must say something that will make an impact. Perhaps identify your best strength - focus on that (whatever it may be) and sell it as your Unique Selling Proposition (USP).

Dear,
Please cite a few examples of how we can do it. It will be really helpful.
In general, everyone typically mentions similar things about their strengths. So, how can one sound different?

Hi Aditi,
That's where you need to be different. Your question is your answer. It's not necessary that my strength will be your strength, and if it is, then you need to convey the same in a different way, and the interviewer should accept the same. In simple terms, it's creativity.
Seniors, please add some more thoughts.
Thanks,

It depends on what profile you are looking at - for example, being a Marketing/Sales person, you should focus on the clarity of speech and ability to convince people (if you actually do have them) and also your ability to mold yourself as per the requirements of the profile. If in Risk/Accounts - your fondness for crunching figures and accuracy (again if you have these talents). You basically need to convince yourself that you are suitable for the job and that you would make a difference given an opportunity. Confidence in yourself and your abilities should show. You have to do a lot of study before going for an interview - you should have sound knowledge about the Industry/Company and the profile so the interviewer also understands that this person has made an effort. This is what I look for when I am recruiting.

It depends on what profile you are looking at. For example, being an accounts person, you should focus on dealing with team members, customers, and suppliers (if you actually have them), as well as your ability to adapt to the requirements of the role. In accounts, your fondness for crunching figures and accuracy (if you possess these talents) is crucial. You need to convince yourself that you are suitable for the job and that you can make a difference if given the opportunity. Your confidence in yourself and your abilities should be evident. Before going for an interview, you must do a lot of research. You should have sound knowledge about the industry, company, and the specific profile so that the interviewer understands the effort you have put in. This is what I look for when I am recruiting. You must speak about your strengths, education, and experience.

First, you should study about the organization for which you are attending the interview. Consider the present situation of the organization in the competition and where it stands in the industry. Next, focus on your potential role and how you could contribute to the organization's success if you were to join. Articulating your role in a creative manner can significantly increase your chances of being appointed. It's important to note that communication skills are crucial in this process.
