[QUOTE=parkash rawat;1660510]Please provide some questions and answers about ESI that can be asked during interviews.

If you have an ESIC smart card, you can use any ESIC hospital or hospitals that are tied up with ESIC in India. You can ask for treatment for your family.

Dear Palavesamuthu.B,

Greetings for the day.

If you have an ESIC smart card and your parents were enrolled in ESIC, you will benefit if the provision of the smart card is under process. In that case, you can obtain Form 105 from your employer, through which you can avail of the benefits.

Hi Dear,

Employees are issued two smart cards: one for the employee and the other for dependent family members. These cards can be used at ESI empanelled hospitals across India for hospitalization.

In the case of an accident or emergency, you can be admitted to any hospital and then inform ESIC for reimbursement.

Dear Sachin Sharma,

Greetings for the day.

ESIC stands for Employee State Insurance Corporation, which is a social sector organization under the Ministry of Labour of the union government. It provides medical benefits to employees working in the unorganized sector at a concessional rate. The employee contribution should be 1.75% of the salary, and the employer contribution should be 4.75% of the total salary. Additionally, they provide benefits of workmen's compensation to those employees covered under this scheme. Nowadays, they also offer lifelong medical facilities to those who have retired or are unable to continue working. Maternity benefits, funeral allowance, dependent pension, and compensation benefits are some of the extra features. The ceiling of ESIC salary is Rs. 15,000/- inclusive of all allowances. Lastly, please visit the ESIC website for updates.

Thanks and regards,
