Hi Varsha,
Instead of having random themes, at the start of the year, decide on a theme for the entire year. All monthly themes will revolve around the Annual theme. This approach will ensure that a specific objective is thoroughly addressed, and tangible benefits will also be gained in the process.
For example:
Annual Theme - Family
- Jan - My Family
- Employees will receive a family photo to display on the notice board
- They will write down five points of appreciation for each family member
- A professional cartoonist or caricature artist will sketch the employee and gift them the picture to share with their family
- Every employee's family member celebrating a birthday in that month will receive a small token gift from the company (with a different token for each month)
- Feb - Family outing and bonding
- Mar - Family talents and skills

1. You can choose themes based on the month. For example, December could be related to winter, July to summer, and if it's a festive month, make the theme according to the festival.
2. Ensure that each month offers something new, different from the previous month's theme. Selecting a single theme for the whole year could become monotonous. Therefore, having different themes each month will make it more lively.
3. You can choose one theme for each month and repeat it every year. Alternatively, you can make random selections. Hence, all you need to do is decide on a total of 12 themes and repeat them each year or make it a random selection.
4. For November, consider the special days falling in this month. Based on that, organize an event. For example, on the 14th, which is Children's Day, you can encourage your employees to donate something (other than money) to a charity organization or orphanage to help improve the lives of those children. This could include clothes, books, colors, etc.

You can create themes with the help of posters, danglers, tent cards, etc. There are varied topics. Business topics like Customer Service, Mission Possible (how to achieve the targets and goals), etc., are good. On the other hand, social topics like Proud to be an Indian, Save a Child, etc., are there. Environmental topics like Go Green, health and safety topics like Fight Obesity, Office Exercises, etc., are again very helpful. Best of luck for your endeavor!
