Now that I have come from the US after 5 yrs and that I'm looking out for an HR-related job. Can anyone please guide me? Is it easy to get a job in the HR dept? My age is 30. Is it wise in trying for it?
Can any HR give me their kind suggestions on this? As they know whether a person like me wud be eligible with no prior experience.

hi shree,
well first let me tell u that HR job is not easy to do and get, these field jobs are in limited number. Beyond that u r not an HR specialist yet, better u try in your computer field only because as a HR person u must be known to all the Laws related to ee's.
I think u are messing Admin job and HR job, both are not same but in small organization due to low manpower admin and HR both are combined but in big organization its not.. u can say both are two side of the same coin.

Hi All,
I am a B.tech in computer science and engineering . I joined a leading IT company in the B.P.O vertical as they said that you can shift to the IT vertical after some time. After some time i was shifted to an IT project , i asked the line HR to change my grade but it was not even after a recommendation letter from my PL. After working for almost 1 year for that project as well ,i got admission in one M.B.A college , initially I have thought of taking study leave and even i sent a mail for that as well but there was no proper reply from the HR, the thing was that the HR was taking care of the IT people and my grade was B.P.O . At last i joined the college without resigning , i even got the salary credited for 3 months in my account. Finally i asked them for FFS , they sent me a letter that some amount is due from my side.
I am ready to pay as i need the experience and relieving letter , but the thing is like in the letter it will show that i was working for a B.P.O although i was working for and IT project. Is it worth to get a B.P.O certificate for 38559-/ what they are asking as due from me. My total experience is somewhere near to 2.5 years and the campus placement is going to start in my college .

Dear Shree,
its not an easy task to get into a HR job specially when your having experience in other field. Also if you want to start your career in HR every one will consider as a fresher & offer the salary accordingly.
Again your not having any degree in HR so pls go through a diploma/degree/practical training course in HR it may help you.

hello sreedevi,
do u have any qualification in HR field, without any such qualification hw would u do the tasks, at least a training in this field will be more than required to enter the field, if u don't mind tell me one thing why do u want to opt for a totally new domain, it will be hectic for u, as u have mentioned that u have avery good degree along with a good enough experience which is contextual too, considering the growth as well as the stability which is much expected aspect u would be looking for as u are leading a 5+ years married life a refresher qualification in you own field will be not only graceful but also welcome, rest depends upon u but HR field is less demand field,
carry on discussion with more pepole,
feel free asking any thing
with regards
shivendra
