Dear All,
I am working in a Software Product Development Comapny in Gurgaon and here there are no salary slabs as such. I wish to make the salary slab within my organisation for different grades and bands to make sure that we are in pace with the market standards in terms of salary fitment.
Request you all to kindly let me know the salary range for the below positions:
1. Software Engineer
2. Senior Software Engineer
3. Team Leader
4. Project Leader
5. Project Manager
6. Software Tester
7. Senior Software Tester
8. System Adminstrator
9. Senior System Adminstrator
10. Project Head

Hi Anita,
Salary band can be fixed based on the experience level not by designation.
Here we go...
1. Associate Software Engineers (between trainees and developer level) < 2 Years
2. Developers/Software Engineers 2 - 4 Years
3. Sr. Level / Team Lead 4 - 6 years
4. Techical Leads 6 - 10 years
5. Project Managerial levels > 10 years
Find below the industrial standard for IT prof:
2 - 4 Years - 2.5L PA (min) - 4 L PA (max)
4 - 6 Years - 1.25 Lacs per year
6 - 8 Years - 1.50 Lacs per year
8+ Years - 1.75 Lacs per year
For example: 4 - 6 Years - 1.25 Lacs per year
Which means for every year we need to pay 1.25L...
i.e 4 (Years) x 1.25 = 5 L p.a
So, 5 L will be salary for 4 years exp prof.

Hi Sanjay, Can you please let me know the salary range for .Net profiles with less than 2 years i.e. 0-2years. Regards, Anita
From India, New Delhi
Hi Anita,
Candidates with less than 1 year will be in the range of 1.2 - 1.5 L P.A
For 1 - 2 years the salary band would be 2 - 2.5 L P.A
However there isnt any specific band for .NET.....whatever salary information that I gave you applies to almost all the IT prof (.NET, Java, QA and other software prof).

Hi,
would like to add to Sanjay's inputs.
point 1:
compensation packages also depend on the educational qualification of the candidates/employees.
in new recruits, there is a clear distinction of engineers and non engineers. engineers (BE, BTech, ME, MTech) essentially are worth more than their other counterparts
point 2:
packages differ again according to the city. acc. to the cost of living

Hi Anitha,
I completely agree with Sneha's points, when we are recruiting outstation candidates we need to consider all these aspects aswell.
However I gave the min and max salary range for freshers which could be helpful to fit salary based on their qualification .
Thanks for the pointz Sneha.

Hi,
Thanks Sanjay and Sneha for your inputs. I agree salary fitment depends on lot of factors viz. education, skills, location, years of experience, last drawn CTC etc.
I needed to check the current market trend for IT professional because i feel we are not at par with the market standard in terms of junior profiles since they had joined as trainees and have been confirmed.
Thanks once again.
