Hi Jiwanjot,
Nice efforts to help the community on your part. But please have a review about the 2nd attachment, as the wages do not seem to match the revised wages as per the latest Pay Commission Report. The document seems to contain old wages rates, as per the Pay Commission Report of 1996 while the Variable Dearness Allowance Rates, as in the first attachment represent the revised wages of 2008.

Hi Parab,
The Dearness Allowance rates of the Central Governments are revised every six months, as based on last 6 monthly average of Consumer Price Index. So, the orders contained in any such communication are applicable for 6 months and get replaced with every fresh order of revised rates after 6 months.

2nd attachment is just for categorisation of various designations in unskilled / semi skilled / skilled / highly skilled categories. Rates mentioned in that are outdated. However the minimum updated rates are given in 1st attachment. These are the latest ones till the next revision comes which is expected wef 1st Oct 2010.

That is fine. Thanks for clarification Jiwanjot. Of course 2nd attachment is also very useful. The intention of my pointing out was if you lay hand on the latest document, as the classification of workers also gets addition and alterations often, as recommended by Pay Commission Reports or acceptance of workers' demands.

Dear All,
Please provide me with guidance on determining a suitable salary for positions such as Office Boy, Peon, Attender, etc. Is there a minimum wage requirement for these roles classified as unskilled labor, or are there any exemptions applicable? I have observed that some individuals are being compensated below the unskilled wage level.
