I am currently pursuing my MBA from HNIMR, Pune. This is my first year, and I want to take HR as my specialization. Which additional courses should I consider to make my CV more impactful? Also, if I were to pursue a dual specialization along with HR, which specialization would complement HR well? Thank you.

Dear Amruta Kore,
There is no point in making the CV weighty ;). If you choose to have a stabilized career path, don't opt for dual specialization. It doesn't provide you with core knowledge in any specialization. Additionally, even if you pursue dual specialization, you won't likely end up in a job with a multitasking role.
Therefore, it would always be better for you to focus on one major. All the best!

Hello,
If you are interested in additional courses in HR, I recommend focusing on performance management. It is beneficial for polishing your skills in managing employees, conducting appraisals, and enhancing recruitment and selection processes. Recruitment aims to retain capable applicants for job positions, while selection ensures the best candidates are chosen.
Training and development are also crucial aspects. If you possess strong interpersonal skills, training can be particularly engaging. Training typically caters to current needs, while development prepares for the future, making it an equally interesting option.
Thank you.
