Dear All,

My name is Ekta. I have completed an MBA in HR and have over two and a half years of experience. I am currently working with a reputable service provider company. Some of my friends have suggested that I pursue Company Secretary (CS) as it could be a valuable addition to my career. Now, I am confused about what to do. Will the combination of an MBA in HR and CS really work together? Please provide your suggestions!

Warm Regards,
Ekta

Hello Ekta,

I wouldn't say no, but it is not absolutely necessary as a value addition unless you are planning to specialize in company laws and related areas. It all depends on which area of HR you are planning to delve into.

Thank you for your suggestion.

I am currently working in the business development team. In that case, what should I do?

Hello Ekta,

Hi,

I am Madhvi, and I also think like Ekta. I'm an MBA in HR and working in an automobile company as a Training & Development Executive in HR. I want to do an extra value-added course, but I am confused about what to do. Please, can anybody help me out and suggest me?

Madhvi

Hi Madhvi (Khushi Sharma) & Ekta,

I would suggest both of you that since you are in the MBA HR category, the degree in CS won't be relevant and not helpful either. Instead, you should consider pursuing LLB. As HR professionals, you will have to deal with many legal issues where a degree and a high level of knowledge related to various laws would be beneficial.

Hi Rajesh,

Thank you so much for suggesting what to do. But please tell me, is it right to do LLB correspondence, or will I have to leave the job and do regular LLB? I am working in an automobile manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity for me to work with it in HR as a Senior Executive for Training & Development. I am waiting for your suggestion.

Thanks and regards,
Madhvi

As I feel, you should go for LLB Correspondence. For other basics about LLB, you can directly get information from the relevant institute or office of Law. Could you please tell me which city you are from?

Please email me your query at rbalsara79@gmail.com.
