Future of Recruiting
In the 90’s print advertisement ruled recruitment marketing. Other than Referral program print ads were the only viable option. In the 2000’s with internet taking the world by storm – recruiting adopted the electronic processing method. Job posting, receiving resume by email & subscribing to resume database providers helped recruiters reach out to a much wider market.

Come 2010, receiving resume by email & processing them is going to be obsolete. Recruitment industry is heading towards a massive change yet again. This time around Web 2.0 (the social media, feeds, aggregation, subscriptions, bookmarks, blogs & forums) will take over.

Hi Poonam,

You are right. Most companies have started using social recruiting. However, the volume of recruitment through social recruiting is still negligible. In the near future, we are going to see an explosion of social recruiting across the globe.

Dear Poonam,

Season's Greetings.

I believe that Web 2.0 will play an important role in the future of recruitment. As cellphones are handy for everyone, I also think that cellphones will bring a new flavor to making the recruitment process more flexible and accessible. Additionally, employee-to-employee references will have a crucial role to play and will enhance transparency.

Thank you.

Web 2.0 is the name of the game these days. Companies are attracting potential employees through social networking sites by creating a sweet and simple landing page. I wonder whether Cite HR has one on Facebook or any other site or not. :p

Thank you, and I agree with your comment.

Dear Sreedhar,

Please let me know your success story in the future with social recruiting, which I can use in my blog.

Dear Muhammad,

Thank you for the comment. CiteHR is a brand of its own. If it can provide us with a widget to post our articles and comments on social networks, it will be useful.
