Hi everyone,

I need to issue an appointment letter to one of our employees who has recently been appointed as a Sales Manager. The same Sales Manager, after completing his 3 months, will be appointed as a Branch Manager, and his salary will be increased.

Can I prepare his appointment letter mentioning that after successfully completing his 3 months, he will be appointed as Branch Manager, and his revised salary will be so and so? I also want to know how to mention salary in the appointment letter, i.e., should I include his current salary details or his revised salary after completing his three months.

I have already issued him an offer letter with the designation mentioned as Sales Manager.

Thank you.

Hi,

Ideally, you should issue an appointment letter with the salary and designation as Sales Manager, mentioning confirmation at the end of 3 months subject to performance.

After completion of 3 months, you can issue a confirmation letter along with a promotion to Branch Manager with a revised salary.

The offer letter and appointment letter should carry the same specifications of the candidate's details of joining.

Regards,
Payal
