Hi everybody,

I'm a student of IInd Yr MBA in Pune, India. I am currently working on a project about employer branding in a leading organization in the manufacturing sector. As part of the project, I am trying to determine what MBA students expect from their future employers and why they choose to join a particular organization. I will also be visiting various companies that are considered preferred employers to learn about their strategies for attracting MBAs, especially during campus selections.

I have created questionnaires, but I would appreciate help in enhancing them. It would be a great help if you all could assist me in developing more questions. Any other suggestions are also welcome. This is a bit urgent, so I kindly request everyone to please reply as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Hi,

Your projects can receive useful insights from articles on acquisition and attraction of talent. There are a few available on the McKinsey and Bnet sites. I am also focusing on related topics such as organizational culture, brand image, and talent attraction since this is a pertinent issue.

Keep me posted.
Sunny

Hi everyone,

I am an MBA student presently undergoing my summer training at Bharti Enterprises Ltd. I have finally decided to make my project on HR branding. However, I am currently stuck with the collection of primary data.

I have prepared a questionnaire (still incomplete) for this purpose. I kindly request all of you to review it and suggest any additional aspects I can include. I have this gut feeling that I am actually missing out on many aspects. You can also email me at [preranab@ymail.com](preranab@ymail.com).

Kindly respond at the earliest.

Thanks in advance,

Dear Prerana,

I have taken a quick look at your questionnaire. It is better to ask demographic and personal questions at the end. Also, if you use a matrix, you will be able to reduce the length of the questionnaire. When you are using a Likert scale, the items should be as statements rather than as questions. Read the script again and see whether people can select a response when you ask a question. Kindly see my post on Questionnaires at CiteHr or search the web to learn how to design and construct questionnaires. Also, pilot the questionnaire with a few key people in the organization to see whether you have covered all the points that would reflect the organization's practices and meet their requirements.

Have a nice day.
