I am working as a marketing executive in a company from past 2 yrs. for 1st 11/2 yr sales from my side are very good but from past 6 months there is no sales for the product which i am dealing.But my management is not harassing me about the sales of the product . But my colleagues are comenting me that the company giving you the free salary even though you are not useful to them ....like this they are commenting ..thats why i want to resign from my job .........So Please suggest me is my decision is correct or not?

In your post you have added last sentence "Life is a journey not a Destination".
If such a positive person you are, then why you worry about these meaningless thoughts by your colleagues.
You are working for company and not for them. So forget everything, comments, loose talks and concentrate on your work.
These are the tools to spoil your performance, so keep them away and do your best, whatever possible to you.
If you have any issues regarding product or its marketing, discuss it with concerned persons and try for its remedies.
Afterall, salary is paying by management and not by them, so leave the decision of resigning the job for this reasons.

What will you do after resigning? It's better to look for a job when in one rather than when unemployed, as you will lose the power of bargaining.

Suneetha, I understand your concern but instead of leaving this job you need to try to give sale to your company and do not worry about others and their comments. Its very usual to have this kind of behavior in your field by subordinates and others. But resignation is not a solution of your problem.
Second, when your seniors have no complains though there is no sale for the product you are responsible for, says that you have done a good job in past and your seniors have faith on you that you again perform good and will get your form again. Just think about it what you are gonna do or thinking about. Do you really wanna let down your seniors who have faith on you or wanna show to all other employee who are passing comments on your performance, that you can again get your company good sale..
You just need to be more strategic, quick, and need to find out the ways how can you give good sales of this product to your company and what you should do in this regard.

And by changing your job, in a new environment, with new employer and colleagues /seniors, do you really thinks that they will never expect you to perform good and stick to it always or you think that you can do lot more with new employer/new job but not here in your present job.
Hope you got my point and suggest you to please, ask yourself again what you wanna do, what is right for you, what you should do to recover yourself and to get sales of the product you are responsible for…

I remember a story about Gautam Buddha. Gautam Buddha with his knowlege and wisdom, attracted people and became very popular with masses. This made some scholors in the town jealous since they could not become popular as Buddha despite their knowledge of scriptures. So when Buddha was meditatting silently under a tree, they used to heckle at him and made fun of him. But Buddha did not move nor had shown any signs of disturbance. When one of his disciples asked him as to how he reamined calm, Buddha gave an example, saying supposing some one is offering you a coin, if you accept it it remains in your possession but if you do not accept it remains with the person who has offered it to you. Therefore, he told his discple that he would not take all this to his head and therefore they do not affect him. Similarly, remian unconcerned about the comments, soon they will stop and focus on the present and be innovative and search for solutions as to how you can improve the sales. You can learn a lot. Look at every challenge as an opportunity to learn and develop a solution centric thinking.
