Hi Charu,
This is normally termed as costing. Do you have access any job sites like naukri, monster etc.. You can search for the profiles that you are looking for and that will give you an idea on how much people are drawing at diffrent levels with diffrent kind of experienc and in diffrent comapnies. You can even talk to the candidates and know about there components and what percentage is fixed and how much is variable.

But the mute point is that beginners or people need information on urgent basis should definitely do some home or research work on any issue irrespective of function. Like Mobile every body needs instant connectivity or information.
