Hi I would like to know what is the best practice for sick leave? how many days per year do companies normally give ? how many sick leaves can be carried forward to the next years?

If your unit is covered under The Factories Act then plz go through your State Industrial Establishment (National & Festival and Casual & Sick Leaves) Act for grant of sick leaves & if covered under Shops Act then adhere to sick leave provisions under this Act of your State. As per laws these leaves lapes at the end of year.
