Dear Senthil Kumar
If a person worked for only one day also to be deducted with PF. If you deduct the PF, then obviously you have to remit the same to EPFO. Here as per your view, the employee has left the organisation. But the PF is deducted, hence it must be remitted. In the Latest ECR Format you will mention in the same month about the joining date as well as leaving date.

Thanks Bhaskar for the reply....The company don't have any formalities of PF deduction or in the Pay slips it shows the amount deducted but there is no details of PF account for at least 6 months and now the employee left the company and the company still says will create an account and settle the amount through PF...my question is there way if the employee left the company and the company can still create an account and settle the amount through PF.

Hi
In yester years companies used to send the PF returns only once, ie only after March. Monthly remittances are made on an adhoc basis and they will reconcile the remittances with their pay roll only at the end of every year and submitted their returns. But the same thing cannot be practiced now. You have to send the returns on monthly basis.

Mr. Senthil,
You can settle the remaining amount in part "D" of the ECR file, provided you have all the necessary pf(like the pf no.) details of the employee. But, as you have mentioned that there are no available pf details of that employee; it shows that you are not maintaining compliance with the statutory laws.

Hi,
Once the PF was not deducted by the employer in previous months,it means he was not allotted PF no.Obiviusly if now the remitencesare required to be made for the privious months while the company is yet to get registered, this is not possible unless authorised from PF authorities as this whole thing will be accounted with penalties.
Thanks.
