It usually depends on company rules...as in my company...it is every six months.....targets are revised every six months....but final appraisal is done once in a year...!!!!! Sheetal

Performance appraisal is affordable only once a year, due to the effort put in by the HR and the employees. It does require a lot of time collecting the data and analysing it.
Hence its not feasible or practical to do it once a month.

Hi Friend,
Performance appraisal / review is not nessecarily salary revision or promotion. It may just be a one on one session with your reporting manager regarding your performance, areas of improvements and significant achievements in the last review period.
Please note that this review can be done monthly or even bimonthly, however the idea of a salary revision on a monthly or quarterly basis is not feasible. Please note that it is generally done annually and some companies prefer to do it half yearly also.

HI...lemme tell you the basic there are 3types they are the calender,the accounting the appraisal year....also generally the appraisals are yearly but in Consultancies i.e. especially who are the corporate trainers they are appraised quaterly...also some growing IT comapnies have it half yearly.....Hope thats fine any help feel free to ask...
