Dear Sir,
I have joined CPSU from another PSU (State Govt) in the higher grade (general manager). My appointment in CPSU was through proper channel. After resignation only, I joined and requested management of previous organisation to transfer my leave to CPSU. Accordingly, 70 EL and 140 HPL were transferred along with requisite amount to the CPSU and present employer has accepted such leaves.
During probationary period, I availed around 40 days EL with approval of written authority, for attending some unavoidable occassions. As per HR manual of present employer(CPSU), Probationary period will be extended for 40 days. I viewed it may not be correct as I got leave balance and used for genuine reason for any human being.
Can any body suggest me whether I can contest and put up an application requesting for modification of the the existing rule.
Thank you with Regards

It all depends up on the language of the rule elating to the extension of probation. If the rule says that probation shall be extended to the period of leave (whatever leave it maybe)availed by an employee, then probation is liable to be extended to that extent. Please go through the relevant provision of the leave policy for proper understanding of the meaning of it with reference to the language that was employed in the provision.
