Dear Pratapsvr, First you can issue show cause notice to both of them so that you can come to know the actual picture then issue warning letter if required. Regards Balkishan Sharma

Dear pratapsvr,

I request your suggestion in the following case. Two of our employees had an argument and they had used unparliamentary language. This happened in front of all the other employees and during working hours. I request you to tell me what kind of letter to be given as per process? Shall I give them a show cause notice letter and then a warning letter? Few superiors are asking to give suspension letters. Request your suggestion asap. Thanks & Regards

First issue a show cause to the employees as you need to follow the procedures. But what you most importantly need to do is take a session to all other employees regarding the CODE OF CONDUCT and the company's policies on discipline, as the worst part is it getting repeated again with some other employee. So please pass on a clear message to every employee about the norms of discipline. Hope it could be of some use.

First you should issue showcause notice where they would explain their position then depending on their explaination , act upon as per company service book
