Dear All, Our employee has gone for maternity leave for 6 months. She has taken her maternity salary before going to maternity leave in 2 instalments. Her maternity leave started from 15th May 2019. She discontinued her service in the year 2018 for 2 months to withdraw her PF. Again she rejoined as a temporary employee after 2 months she became a regular employee. After rejoining her PF number was not changed in the records. Now she sent a letter and needs a signature from our management. Please find the letter draft.

With reference to the above subject, we would like to inform that Smt. XXXK (PF NUMBER XXXX) was working in our establishment and resigned on 31/01/2018 and settled her PF amount, Later on she again rejoined our establishment on 01/03/2018 and resigned on 30/04/2019 for her Personal Reasons, During this period we didn’t generate a new PF number for her and all the amount has been credited in her old PF number(XXXXX).
Hence please consider the online PF claim and settle the same at the earliest and do the needful.

She has not reported after her completion of maternity leave. After a month she sent mail to HR for extension of maternity leave for 3 months. Our HR said "based on your medical certificate we can extend your maternity leave for a month."
Now which exit date we need to consider to process her PF. Date of resignation or date which is mentioned in the letter.
If we consider her DOL is 31st April 2019, then she is not eligible for maternity benefit.
Kindly advise.
