I have applied for a position in a Giant FMCG through company website last month.And from then I was looking for the status online.Yesterday the status has changed and found as "PRESCREENED". What does that mean.Does it mean all the background checks and etc are done and I might get a call for an interview???Please enlighten me...

Pre screening is a process where the hiring partner or the company goes through the profile of the candidate / applicant evaluating the below criteria:
1. Evaluating the current responsibilities of the candidate / applicant with the JD of the position
2. Evaluating the educational qualifications of the candidate / applicant with the JD of the position
3. Studying the stability and years of experience of the candidate / applicant
If the profile of the candidate / applicant is shortlisted by the hiring partner or the company, then the candidate / applicant is called for the personal round of interview depending upon the recruitment process of the company.
