I suggest you to prpeare a document / policy on the employee referral ie., employee referral scheme for this you need to organize a meeting with all your HODs, work out a policy, fine tune and forward to your top management for their approval.
You should be very vareful on employing the close relatives of the employees, whether to employee or not, and if no then what are the restrictions and if not disclosed properly and proved after some time what could be the action, action only on employee or employee referred also.
If employee refers then what is the benefit the employee is getting, modalities like 25% on selection, 75% on completion of 3 months etc., etc., is there any restriction on number of referrals in a year, whether a Manager and above employees are eligible, employees working in HR & admn., are eligible or not, the benefit the company is providing is in cash or kind, if cash what about the Income Tax deductions ie., the amount is going to be deducted from the employee or the company will bear the amount.
The candidates reffered by a particular employee is leaving the organization frequently after 3 months in that case are you black listing that employee, if yes, for how many years.
You need to brainstorm all the points, pros & cons, work out a policy document and then implement. A simple email shall create issues.
