Hi,
Working days means all working days excluding all weekly and public holidays.
Present days means the no. of days employee has attended the office out of no. of working days.
E.g in a company which is 5 days a week 22 are working days. If employee suppose X takes a leave of 1 day then present days of X will be 21 days.
Please correct me if this is wrong.

Hello,
Working Days:
In Commerce: Any day (other than Sunday or bank holiday) on which legal business can be conducted. Whether Saturday is a working day or not depends on the custom or usage of the trade or jurisdiction.
Pay Days: Salary is being paid for whole month(30/31 days) irrespective of Saturdays, Sundays, Gazetted Holiday, any type of leave(Casual Leave, sick leave & earned leave if due). Therefore, all the days in a month are paid days.
Present Days: Days on which we present .

Dear Patil,
Almost all are at the point, working days denotes the scheduled days of factory,
and present days denotes the actual presence on workplace of the individual worker or say employee.
Secondly, sunday a wk off day. if it is factory it is already paid as u are calculating sal/wage dividing by 26or 27or 25 whatever after ignoring it from total number of days of that month.
If u r under shop act then wk.off should be given after working full 6 days of that wk.
Clear or not

Hi,
It seems most of the guys has taken working days considering employee is working "full month" and that salary is calculated on per month basis. But this is very general calculations. Suppose the company is paying on per day worked day rate then how you will calculate the monthly salary?? How will you make a difference between working days of the employee? Whether weekly off are paid or not?? Whether public holidays are paid or not?? If yes what are the calculations??
Generally when you are working in international setting "per month" salary is not a concept now days. Most of the companies are paying on "per day worked" basis. Even the leave rotation, (say 12 weeks on and 02 weeks off) or "days off" from the work are not paid. The concept is very clear, "you will get the salary for the days you work only" and weekly off, public holidays & your leave are not paid.
Hope this will help

2. in pay roll process Sunday is must payble, and onemore please you, should see your company/factory Standing order in working/holidays cleared deal with your problem,
