Hi All, I worked at a well-known BPO for around 2 years. Then, I was terminated due to a RUDE call (ZTP).

Then, I was selected in a different BPO as I informed them about my previous 2 years of experience but hid my termination information.
I had shown them the relieving letter from the previous organization.

Then the background check failed in the newly joined organization & I was served a SHOW CAUSE notice.

I highlighted the issue to the HR of the last organization & the HR told me that she had changed the reason of separation as "Resignation" on the BGV portal of company for any BGV check to be done by a third party. They also sent Email to the HR team of my newly joined company stating that I was never terminated from the company, and I had resigned due to personal reasons.

Also, the HR Head of last organization gave me in writing(EMAIL) that the findings of the BGV team are false & I should ask the BGV team to reverify the findings of termination. I was then provided with the Relieving Letter & Service Letter. I was not issued any Resignation Letter & any specific Experience Letter.

I submitted the credentials. Then, the BGV check turned GREEN & I was allowed to continue the service in the newly joined organization. My PF transfer was done successfully.

Now, it has been 9 months since I am working as an experienced candidate by hiding my termination.

Sometimes, I feel bad & guilty (internally) that I informed wrong information to the current organization about my work experience.

At the same time, I am concerned about my future also.

If the same issue happens in every organization, I am afraid that it may lead to further termination.

I am in a dilemma if I can show those 2 years of experience of that organization from which I was terminated. Or should I hide that 2 years' experience? Would the organizations be by themselves able to figure out my past work & termination history, although if I hide it from my resume?

Also, If I am selected for some Government posts, would I be eligible for the Govt sector or not? Would there be a BGV issue there?

Please help me out as it relates to my future.

You cannot hide the past indefinitely, and it WILL come back to haunt you - as many people including top CEO's have found to their cost. We have had many posts here on CiteHR from members facing the exact same problems. As they will attest, the news is not good.

Your task is to find a way to mitigate previous problems. Keep your nose clean from now on, and when you decide to change jobs, you have to be honest. If you can show a clean record, you can explain the incident as a one off and that you learnt your lesson and constantly strive to be better. Employers can be more lenient when they can see that you have made real progress and continously worked to improve yourself. You need to build a portfolio of achievements and successes to reassure them you have learnt from your mistake.

The termination of service in your previous organisation stands corroborated as due to resignation and you have the relieving order and service certificate as proof. So there is no need to hide the information. From your PF Record, the new organisation will be able to figure out your previous tenure elsewhere. Similarly, there is the danger of any of your previous acquaintance spilling the beans.
If you opt for Govt. service then there is Police verification process wherein all your details like your previous five years employment history as well as the birth place details are verified.

Termination from private employment for whatsoever reason, does not constitute a constraint in Government service unless, of course, the incident that led to the termination had led to initiation of criminal proceedings.
