Hi Tanu,

I have worked as teacher and Hr professional as well.

What I suggest is you continue with HR field for some more years and try to enhance your knowledge in the areas of OB, Training, Hr trends and Practices . You need to study HR and finance linking also.

Get some experience in MIS, data analysis related to HR. In the mean time, talk to some senior professors and understand the eligibility criteria for the entry in teaching. Accordingly you can complete some short term courses during that period which will add value to your credentials. You can think of working if visiting faculty on Saturdays- sunday if you meet the criteria. This will give you more insight abt job.You need to be passionate about teaching to make it impactful. You can attend some train the trainer workshops or learn some teaching methodologies, it would be great help.

Stay connected with directors/ professors / teachers in mgmt institutes, attend seminars arranged by them. This will help when you will start jobsearching as lecturer

Hope this will help

You can take different role if your job allows you to do so. But with my experience , I would like to share with you taht making a rewarding career in teaching with 2 year's experience in one type of industry would be bit difficult initially. If you still want go ahead with it, you can join some not so elite colleges as visiting faculty or colleges where HRsubjects. mgmt subjects are not the main part of curriculum. For ex. Hospitality, hospital mgmt, graduation courses. Salary may be the issue initially. If you are ok with that, join it and try to add more qualifications of educational courses, training, teaching courses.
