Hi Seniors,
pls clarify me on the below, am working with an advertising company with manpower strength of 18 in chennai and 1 employee in kolkatta at present but we are expanding the strength in kolkatta to max of 5. now my question is my company come under epf & esi or not. in my company only 10 employees basic salary is below 6500 and 10 employees gross salary is below 15000. and my boss is ready to go with ppf and not interested in epf. i must register in epf & esi or is its exempted for my company.

Dear syedhussain,
A company is eligible for PF & ESi if its employee strength is 20 or more.It is mandatory for any establishment to get themselves registered under PF act even though if the 20 employees salary is above 6500.And in case of ESI if they don't fall under ESI applicability then they can opt for WC act.
