I was working in a Non-banking Financial Institution (a subsidiary of LIC) and resigned on October 24th after 3 years of service. I have received my experience certificate and relieving letter. The organization paid me a Performance-Linked Incentive (PLI) for the last year, but now, after a month of my relief, they're asking me to repay it. They cite a circular issued for PLI payments that states employees resigning within 6 months of receiving the PLI must repay it. What should I do?

Additionally, the payment revision will happen in the same organization. However, they typically exclude resigned employees from receiving the revised payment by mentioning it in the payment revision circular. Can I legally challenge this?
